first flush . Exhibition Thu March 20th - Sat April 19th 2008

Two expressive female artists join together in the double show first flush. A multitude of medias were presented; with Dorothee von Rechenberg it is photographic worlds that have taken us into real-surreal worlds, with Kassandra Becker figures made of epoxy that embody animal, human or both in one. The artists work on their models with many different techniques, materials and colors. And so, the figures met up with the photographic images and seemed to step into them. A dialoguing interplay between them created an unusual resonance and pulled the observers into a spell between dream and reality.
