In der Einzelausstellung Matthias Aeberli Malerei aus seiner neuesten Schaffensperiode.
vanishing point heisst Fluchtpunkt, ist also ein Begriff aus der Perspektive, der Optik, der Physik, ein verschwindender Punkt, in der Mathematik ein virtuelles Gebilde, ein nicht physisch existierter, eine Referenz. Der Titel bezieht sich auch auf ein B-Movie der 80- Jahre: Fluchtpunkt San Francisco oder auf dem Highway ist die Hölle los. Was das alles mit Malerei, mit Kunst zu tun hat? Nun, ohne Perspektive kein Bild, ohne Bild kein Film.
Die Arbeiten von Matthias Aeberli beamen Sie mit verschiedenen Geschwindigkeiten durch Raum und Zeit. Gewinnen Sie dabei neue Perspektiven, lassen Sie sich überraschen! Übrigens, der Film handelt von einem, der quer durch Amerika, von East nach West flüchtet, dabei verfolgt wird, er stirbt am Ende, sonst könnte der Film gar nicht aufhören, ein Road-Movie - ein existentielles Drama.
